Pilates Instructor at Groundfloor Exercise Company: Groundfloor Exercise Location: New York, NY Compensation: $30-$40/hour Groundfloor Exercise, a renowned Pilates studio on the Upper West Side, is seeking 1-2 dedicated part-time Pilates Teachers. The studio is located on 72nd Street between Amsterdam and Columbus. Groundfloor Exercise has been offering private and semi-private Pilates instruction for 50 years. The Ideal Candidate Knowledgeable about the body, background in Pilates, physical therapy, personal training, and/or dance Personable, caring, intentional—must be able to maintain positive interpersonal relationships with clients and cater each session individually Flexible availability weekday mornings within the timeframe of 7:45am-2pm, 15-25 hours/week Previous teaching experience preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Professional, reliable, and punctual Passion for health, fitness, and helping others succeed Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset Responsibilities Lead safe, engaging, and effective Pilates private sessions utilizing the Reformer, Cadillac, and Mat for clients of varying fitness levels. Must be able to provide modifications and progressions based on individual needs. Our clientele caters heavily towards older clients, and therefore, their comfort and safety are our top priority. Create a welcoming and encouraging atmosphere. Build positive relationships with clients. Inspire and motivate clients to achieve their wellness goals. Ensure proper use and care of Pilates equipment. Maintain a clean and organized studio space.
